International Business Consultancy
Over the past twenty years New Horizons Agriculture, LLC has worked for multiple European and American organizations on International business consultancy assignments. One of those organizations was called the Dairy Business Innovation Center (DBIC) a non-profit federally-funded organization that provided consultancy services and support to Wisconsin Businesses in the production and marketing of value-added products including, specialty cow, goat and sheep cheese, yoghurt and ice cream. As a member of a team of consultants, NHA worked on projects that were targeted at boosting the economic activity of rural Wisconsin with a focus on value-added products, relocation support, export promotion and sustainability. During the eight years that the DBIC was active, it helped launch 43 new dairy plants and assisted with 72 dairy plant expansions. The DBIC also helped cheesemakers with the introduction of more than 50 new cheese varieties. One of those successful cheesemakers was Marieke Penterman, originally from the Netherlands, who launched her business Marieke Gouda in Thorp, WI back in 2007.
